How to Use Patterned Scrapbook Paper as Added Embellishments:
Items for this project:
one each of Love That Pet 12 x 12 scrapbook paper and Dog Bone Zone 12 x 12 scrapbook paper (sold in our online store), 5 x 7 dog photo, other scrapbook paper for matting the photo and title, scrapbook double-sided tape or glue dots/squares, paper cutting machine, writing pen,
exacto knife (or scissors), and spray adhesive or scrapbook adhesive squares/dots.
Step 1:
Place the photo toward in the bottom-center of the Love That Pet 12 x 12 scrapbook paper . Can you believe that my sweet dog looks like a young puppy in this photo, however she is about 8 years old!
Step 2:
Layer color coordinating paper to compliment the dog photo – chocolate brown and green was used in this sample layout as background mattes.
Step 3:
Using the Dog Bone Zone 12 x 12 scrapbook paper, use the exacto knife or scissors to cut out all the designs in this patterned scrapbook paper and then pre-arranged them on the scrapbook paper.
Step 4:
Using scrapbook double-sided tape or glue dots/squares to adhere each photo to the background matte paper and then adhere this to the scrapbook paper. Next, use the spray adhesive on the back of the pieces cut from the patterned scrapbooking paper and gently press each one onto the layout or use adhesive squares/dots. Note: The dog bones, dog tags, and the word 'WOOF' embellishment pieces were cut out as embellishments from the Dog Bone Zone 12 x 12 scrapbook paper!
Step 5:
Matte chocolate grown and green paper for the title section at the top of the page. Add the words 'Cute, Adorable, & Precious' as the title using an acid-free, waterproof, and non-bleeding writer pen! Done!
